The credit crisis is the result of the implosion of unsustainable imbalances in the financial system and the global economy at large. It has significantly weakened banks, even before the recession set in. That makes this recession different and tougher. How have we all fallen victim to the crisis, what is the role of banks and what lies ahead in the future?
