Competing on Analytics: The CFO Leadership Role

Tom Davenport describes how some leading organizations compete on the basis of their analytical capabilities and fact-based decision-making. He has identified more than 50 global companies that base their strategies at least in part on their analytical orientations. He will define what it means to compete on analytics and how analytical organizations achieve high performance. He will also describe the key capabilities necessary to succeed in analytical competition, and discuss how organizations make progress on their analytical journeys. Throughout the presentation, he will point out what analytical competition means for the CFO role and for financial and performance management applications. He will also point to some specific CFOs who have played important leadership roles in building their organization´s analytical capability.
